Marc FERRERO was born in 1963 and lives and works in France.
As a young man he started to draw influenced by comics and Walt Disney, little by little he increased the complexity of his subjects and so progressed in an entirely unfettered way.
TV series and films of the 70s fascinated him and taught him about the principles of cutting a story into episodes.
Despite the fact that he was self taught, the stages of his training followed a classical pattern; A long apprenticeship in drawing (lead pencil, charcoal, black and white, gouache and then acrylic) before using colour (gouache, watercolour, acrylic and oils).
In order to create his stories he halted his studies at 16 to concentrate on a variety of projects which would enable him to travel widely and develop his imaginative sense.
At 26, with the beginning of a story in his mind, he moved to Brussels to show his first story-boards to various comic-book editors. Between times he won the Olivier STRELLI prize for his story board...
