GUILLAUME MORETTON  



"Young artist self-taught painter Guillaume Moretton leads with an overriding need the intricacies of art history to extract a rich source of inspiration, but he also is too intrusive an artist who, by his own admission, is struggling to find himself. The work of assimilation has yet produced, brilliantly, away from consciousness crushed by the combined weight and the networking of all knowledge. Today, while the work is put, brilliant and sober at the time, probably the artist, is reluctant to consider this work as his own right, and even sought, unsuccessfully, another pictorial language. If for most artists, the time the work is longer than the man, he should probably admit that in the case of Moretton, the work has preceded the artist's conscience
