She lives in Brooklyn, New York and works out of an art studio in Williamsburg. Website Artist Statement: I am interested in the medium of photography and painting as a mechanism for speaking about my present state, specifically, my interaction with emotional and figurative landscapes. My work examines the manipulation of structure as a means to deconstruct and reconfigure space and the human form. My mixed media series "Re-Fractions" is an exploration of imprinted paint on photographs linked to my personal history, it is my re-imagination of the spaces I inhabit, and reconfigurations of spaces of the past. Re-Fractions is focused on the physical process of printing paint, scratching surfaces, and altogether reworking photographic objects; resulting in abstracted images of familial memories and landscapes.
