Art lounge was created in 1998, in
an effort to make art more accessible to a cultured audience.
With the intention of creating an art space that would
not only show great contemporary art but where people
would interact and evolve in an artistic & creative
environment which would enable them to inspire themselves
and spend a good time relaxing in a spacious, harmonious
& colorful environment.
In April 2004, the art lounge gallery and cultural space,
was born. nestled in the Karantina region next to Beirut’s
river bridge, The Art Lounge is located in what is now
a refurbished warehouse/factory, occupying more than 900
sq. m. and divided into a main gallery/lounge, a bar,
a bookstore, a concert space, an art store.
Today, Art Lounge has evolved to become a unique contemporary
art exhibition space and a cultural events host, having
featured hundreds of art show, music events, cultural
happenings including fashion & design.
Art Lounge promotes the works of dozens of international
modern & contemporary artists throughout its network
of partners. In addition, Art Lounge operates a publishing
arm, a design store, an art bookshop and a fashion and
accessories brand.

art creation and cultural drives in people and communities
